PROVSIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Monica is an experienced child therapist, counsellor, case manager, and crisis support worker. She is passionate about empowering children and families impacted by adversity and disadvantaged backgrounds. Over the last decade, she has helped clients transform relationships, develop life-changing coping skills, and foster resilience and autonomy.

Monica has extensive training in mental health including a Bachelor of Psychological Science, Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Psychology, Graduate Diploma in Social Health and Counselling, and is completing a Master’s in Clinical Psychology.

Monica’s therapeutic approach is person-centred, strengths-based, and eclectic, tailoring her services to each client’s unique needs and preferences. Monica draws from her diverse toolkit of evidence-backed therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy.

Monica is experienced in navigating and supporting diverse psychological challenges. She is adept at addressing a wide range of childhood presentations, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, oppositional behaviours, developmental delays, and issues surrounding family and domestic violence, self-esteem, and attachment.

Monica understands that people need more than just treatment. She believes every individual deserves access to tailored healthcare, socio-emotional support, and an opportunity to be seen, heard, and advocated for.
